Through technical skill, construction know-how, and performance capability, we anticipate challenges, develop solutions that meet our client’s objectives, and ultimately deliver projects that exceed our clients’ expectations.

When projects result from extreme needs, Akima Construction Services, LLC goes to extremes to support the project stakeholders. An excellent example of that commitment in action was our involvement in the Hurricane Katrina recovery. Allowed only 45 days to complete the contract, Akima procured, transported, and set up 450 modular classroom buildings in storm-ravaged Mississippi.

The work was completed 4 days ahead of schedule—an amazing feat considering that a second devastating hurricane moved through the area in the middle of the project. In addition to making it possible for thousands of children to return to school, Akima constructed modular buildings for one town’s police and fire departments, enabling these critical municipal agencies to continue their relief efforts.
